Ugljan is an island situated in Zadar achipelago, north-east of island Pašman and south-east of islands Rivanj and Sestrunj. It has a surface of 50.21 km2 (22km long, 3.8 km wide) which places it in the group of big Croatian islands. Island Ugljan and the mainland are divided by the Zadar channel and Ugljan is connected to Pašman by a bridge over the Ždrelac channel.
